Villa Carlucci is a comfortable and very spacious villa set on a hilly position 400 m a.s.l., the village of San Martino sulla Marrucina is within walking distance, in the centre of the green National Park of Maiella and 20' driving from Adriatic coast.

For lovers of wine and food San Martino area and the region Abruzzo offer a very good production of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo D.O.C. and a spread of tiny typical restaurants where you can taste the excellent Abruzzese cooking. Abruzzo is also a charming region full of art and traditions all to be discovered…

Guardiagrele, within a 5 minute drive, is a centuries-old center of gold and silver craftsmanship. Many of its treasures can be seen in a host of Romanesque and Gothic churches that adorn the town. Lanciano, within 20 min. drive, is a warren of medieval lanes with a cathedral built on the arches of a Roman bridge and a church dedicated to St. Francis that delivers miracles to this day. Fara San Martino, home of Italy's best pasta, is also close by as are Ortona, Chieti, Pescara the autostrada and the beaches just 20 min. away.

The Pescara airport is half hour away by car and is daily connected with London Stansted by Ryanair, Frankfurt Hahn, Milano. Rome and its international airport are reached in two and a half hours or less.

During the winter 20' from the villa cross-country or alpine skiing on the Maiella Mountains, in the other seasons you can go trekking or discover the ancient hermitage, the caves, the woods.

The beaches of Adriatic sea are 20 km away from Villa Carlucci.

If you arrive from:

Rome your motorway exit is Chieti

North or South, along the adriatic motorway, exit Pescara Sud

In both case follow the board Guardiagrele and after 20 km you find San Martino sulla Marrucina. The villa is 500 mt. before the village.
