Rivedere gli Uriah Heep una seconda volta dopo il concerto allo stadio di Toscolano Maderno (Brescia) del 2002 è stata una grandissima emozione. 

 Soprattutto non mi aspettavo che la qualità del suono e soprattutto della loro esibizione fosse così spettacolare:quindici brani pieni di potenza sonora,entusiasmo e virtuosismo di chi è capace (grazie alla sua notevole esperienza) di trascinare il proprio pubblico in un vortice di divertimento adrenalinico che ti resta nell'anima.

Si apre con "Blood red roses" un brano del 1989 che nell'album "Raging in silence"   cominciava con un'assolo di tastiere,sostituito qui dal riff di Mick Box,il quale lo rende molto attraente da punto di vista tecnico col suo virtuosismo.

Nella scaletta non mancano brani lenti come "If I had the time" e "Cry freedom" i quali però grazie all suddetta qualità sonora degli strumenti assumono un forte impatto emotivo.

Rispetto alla scaletta ufficiale del "magician's birthday tour 2005" mancano alcuni pezzi (come "Only the young" e "When the war is over" ad esempio) ma questo nel contesto del concerto di Venezia è dovuto solo a motivi organizzativi:gli Uriah Heep infatti erano una delle tre band presenti al "Venice rock festival" e hanno dovuto modificare il loro programma per motivi di tempi organizzativi.

Nonostante tutto,chi come me ha potuto assistere a questa serata live degli Uriah Heep,ha sicuramente avuto la sua dose di buon divertimento…

 The second Uriah Heep's gig of my life (after one of  their last italian concerts in Toscolano Maderno stadium on July 05 2002 ) was a great emotion for me.

I have a great surprise when i have listened their quality sound,and above all,their performance has been wonderful:fifteen songs full of powerful sound,great verve and virtouosism born by their great experience in the live shows stage.

When they play on stage,bring some wonderful emotions to the listening people.

The gig start with the 1989's song "Blood red roses" avaliable on "Raging in silence" album,where in the original cd it’s begin with a keyboard's riff and instead,in this gig,the same initial riff was started by guitarist Mick Box,who give his very virtuous contribute to this track.   

In the set list are present some ballads like "If  had the time" and "Cry freedom" become magic by the high quality of sound.

The Venice's gig tracklist was different from original tracklist of "magician's birthday tour 2005" for some reasons of show's organization(Uriah Heep played togheter two Italian rock bands called “Bullfrog” and “Dark Lords”) songs like "Only the young" and "When the war is over" were absent.

Nonetheless me and other Uriah Heep's fans have seen a great funny concert....
